Statement Of Faith
We do hereby adopt as a statement of our faith as the following affirmation. We accept this statement, not as a rigid rule of code of faith to which we will be in bondage, but rather we accept it as an instrument that might bring help to us in controversy and provide clarification of the essential and basic truths which we embrace:
THE WORD OF GOD -
We believe that the Bible is the Word of God; that it is fully inspired and without error in the original manuscripts; that it is written under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit; and that it has supreme authority in all matters of faith and conduct.

THE TRINITY -
We believe there is one living and true God who exists in three persons; that these three persons each possess all of the divine attributes, among them being that God is infinite, all-powerful, all-knowing, holy, eternal, unchanging, faithful, loving, merciful, just, and distinct. The three persons of the Trinity execute distinct, but harmonious, office in the work of creation, providence, and redemption.

God The Father
We believe in God the Father, an infinite personal spirit. We believe that He concerns Himself mercifully in the affairs of men, that He hears and answers prayer, that He saves from sin and death all who come to Him through Jesus Christ.

God The Son
We believe in Jesus the Christ, God's only Son, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit; born of the virgin Mary; led a sinless life; performed miracles; and engaged in teaching. We believe in His death on the cross for sinful mankind; His bodily resurrection; His ascension into heaven; His perpetual intercession for His people; and in His personal and visible return to earth.

God The Holy Spirit
We believe in the Holy Spirit, who came forth from the Father and Son to convict the world of sin and to regenerate, sanctify, and empower all who believe in Jesus Christ as Savior and as Lord. We believe that the Holy Spirit lives in every Christian believer, and that He is an ever-present helper, teacher, and guide.

REGENERATION -
We believe that all men are sinners by nature and by choice and are, therefore, under condemnation. We believe that those who repent of their sins and trust Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord are regenerated by the Holy Spirit and are made righteous by the Blood of Jesus Christ.

THE CHURCH -
We believe in The Church Universal, a living spiritual body of which Christ is the head and of which all regenerated persons are members. We believe in the institution of local congregations which are visible manifestations of the Church Universal. These local expressions of the Church of which the FBCLMI is one, consists of a company of Christian believers who have been baptized upon the profession of their faith; and who associate together for the purposes of worship, work, and fellowship. We believe that God has laid upon the members of the local church the primary task of presenting the Gospel of Jesus Christ to a lost world.

CHRISTIAN CONDUCT -
We believe that a Christian should live for the glory of God and the wellbeing of his fellowman; that his conduct should be blameless before the world; that he should be a faithful steward of his resources; and that he should seek to realize for himself and others full Christian maturity.
THE ORDINANCES -
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ has committed to the local two ordinances: Baptism and the Lord's Supper. We believe that Christian Baptism is the immersion into water in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
We believe that the Lord's Supper was instituted by Jesus for the commemoration of His death. We believe that these two ordinances should be administered and observed until the return of the Lord Jesus Christ.

THE LAST THINGS -
We believe in the personal and visible return of the Lord Jesus Christ to earth; and in the completion of the Kingdom which He established during His earthly ministry. We believe in the resurrection of the body; the final judgement; the eternal existence with God of those who have been made righteous by the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ; and the endless suffering of the wicked.
